She stood in the doorway of the office. She hadn't really changed, but yet he could see slight differences. Her green eyes dull, her tanned skin now pale from being locked up in her studio, and her smile. The smile he fell in love with, her big toothy smile had disappeared, being reduced to a slight smirk.

"What are you doing here, James?" She shifted under his stare. What was he doing here? He flew all the way from London just to visit her, highly unlikely she thought. She studied him, just as he had to her. He had dyed his hair back to the rich brown color. He wore a simple army jacket and aviator sunglasses.

"I can't come and visit my best friend?" He cocked his left eyebrow up, as though to say I really am sorry Allie. She wasn't buying it, she pushed passed his open arms. He let them fall to his side and turned to look at her.

Allie could feel his gaze on her, "No, it isn't that simple." She could hear his heavy shrug, she closed her eyes waiting for what he had to say.

"Jees, Allie we shoot the last scene for this film and whoosh you're gone the next day, saying you needed to deal with this in your own way and you'll see us at the premiere. What the fuck does that exactly mean?"

She turned on him, she had her reasons for leaving so unexpectdly. "James, I have a life here to, what was I supposed to do stay in London and what, live happily ever after?" Her hands were now crossed against her chest and a stern look across her face.

"Yes you are, you were. I mean - Allie we - you were supposed to stay for the premiere and - just tell me why you left so soon." He couldn't place his words correctly, he didn't even feel like what he had said made sense. His bony fingers were weaved in between his hair in fustration.

"Can't even form sentences without the script in front of you, can you?" Her words were like venom, and James looked up at her. His eyes filled with hurt, "Look I'll leave if you just tell me why you left?"

She turned back to her desk and sighed, "Look James, it's just that everyone was so upset to leave and stuff that when we wrapped, everyone was crying. I don't do well with that kind of stuff."

James threw his hands up, "So that means you have to leave the whole fucking country?" She turned back to him, her eyes filled with tears and her voice became shaky, "No, no it doesn't but I just couldn't deal with the whole film thing anymore and I have my photography career to think about too."

She watched as he rolled his eyes and walked towards the door, "You keep trying to make excuses Allie, but you are the one not making any sense. Look I want you to come back to London, we want you to come back to London. It's been boring without you. Look when you get your shit together, come visit us, okay?"

Allie didn't say anything, she sat down at her desk and began editing a photo. James gave a nod and walked out of the brightly lit office into an even brighter lit reception room.

"How did it go Mr. Thomason?" He looked at receptionist, a large smile played across her face. "Were you able to convince her to actually leave the studio?" James shook his head. "Oh, that's to bad I swear she is going to end up like Da Vinci or was it that Van fellow?" James nodded and quickly left before she could say anything else.
Random story, I don't really know where it is going but I like it. Updated later.
